WILLIAM BURROUGHS – THE LAST WORDS OF DUTCH SCHULTZ

First Edition, Cape Goliard, 1970. Hardcover

A cross between novel and screenplay, this piece of writing is a surreal blur between the death of gangster Dutch Schultz, his life and Burroughs own fictional writing. While never reaching fruition as a film, this book as a screenplay without a visual manifestation, is an work of art in itself, and should, perhaps, remain that way.
