THE TIGHTROPE WALKER – HERMINE DEMORIANE

35.00

First edition, published by Secker & Warburg, 1989

“In April 1971 Hermine Demoriane went to an exhibition at the Tate Gallery. Among the exhibits was a tightrope. She got on it and walked the length of the rope. From then on, for the next five years, the tightrope became her obsession.”

In this autobiographical book, Demoriane punctuates the story of her career with anecdotes, and references to historical tightrope walkers. Illustrated in black and white throughout.
