Author John-Paul Pryor debuts new songs from his forthcoming album, The Apocalypse Sessions, at The Society Club in an intimate acoustic show, featuring Sami Salo and Jez Leather.
John-Paul is author of the avant-garde novel Spectacles ("an atrocity exhibition that would be relentless were it not for Pryor's lyrical romanticism" - AnOther Magazine) and was the driving force behind underground alt-rockers The Lancaster Bombers, who exploded on to the music scene in 2005 only to disband within a matter of months, having garnered favourable reviews, such as '… the salvation of the soul via the medium of rock'n'roll' (L'uomo Vogue).
The songs on The Apocalypse Sessions take their lead from the likes of Buffy Saint Marie, Ry Cooder and the soundscapes of David Lynch, and this will be the first time they have been performed. There will be a number of songs performed with an interval.
