SOHO: POETRY NIGHTS hosted by CHIP - theme NOSTALGIA

Original work keeps coming however late in the life of Poetry Nights. A theme of Dreams prompted Oliver to one in a flood of new sonnets and Emir to a boy's memory. Newcomers Kalpna offered 'Fairy Dust' and Gavin 'Six Words', while Douglas hymned Venus. We had a vintage rant from Rolphin and 'comic relief' from his friend Joel. Barney evoked the eternal melancholy of bed-sits and Ben the gentleness surrounding his mother's death.  Charlotte convinced us with Anne Sexton's 'Addict' and Kelly with Pablo Neruda's 'I am your dream'. Baudelaire's 'L'Invitation au Voyage' ended the evening anticipating a theme that both Ron and Charlotte thought appropriate for the new week: NOSTALGIA.
