BOB RICHARDSON – BOB RICHARDSON

65.00

First edition, published by Damiani Editore, 2007

Bob Richardson broke the rules of fashion photography, and was on of the few figures to spur the reinvention of the medium. “I wanted to put reality in my photographs. Sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll. That's what was happening. And I was going to help make it happen. Boy they did not want that in America. Some of those editors were still wearing white gloves to couture.”

Richardson gained international recognition for his work, and rose to the top of the industry. However, after succumbing to his illness, Schizophrenia, Richardson found himself on the streets of New York, only in later life reviving his career with the help of Richard Avedon and Steven Meisel.
