SEYDOU KEÏTA – PHOTOGRAPHS: BAMAKO, MALI 1948-1963

85.00

First edition, published by Steidldangin, 2011.

An incredible large hardcover monograph of black and white photographs. A majority of the photographs are full page images, uncropped leaving the edge of the negative visible, subtly framing each image. The book opens with an introduction by Kathy Ryan, followed by Seydou Keïta in conversation with Andre Magnin. The book itself is an aesthetically pleasing object, with a fabric covering on the boards, mirroring the patterned backdrop of the photographs set on the cover. There is a mylar dustcover included to protect the book.
