French text comprising Genet’s entire output as a poet, printed in large black and red roman lettering. The subject matter of Genet’s poetry has much in common with his novels written in the early forties. The pictorial covers have a photocollage of portraits of Genet by Dushan Stanimirovitch, with the title overlaid via an acetate dust wrapper.

Condition: Very good. Some rubbing to dust jacket with chipping at spine. Covers clean. Pages are all clean and unmarked and remain uncut. Printed in a numbered edition of 1000, of which this is number 980. Overall a fine copy. Some fading to edges of the pages, and spotting on the first couple of pages and inside cover. Overall in very good condition: an exceptional copy.
