JOHN COOPER CLARKE – INNOCENTS EP SIGNED ORANGE

85.00

Signed 7" EP, Rabid, 1977

This 7" EP is John Cooper Clarke's first release, pressed at the height of the punk movement, it was a momentous work given the rise of the spoken word and political poetry that followed. Accompanied by The Curious Yellows, Clarke performs the now classic poems 'Suspended Sentence', 'Innocents' and Psycle Sluts (Parts one and two)'.

Worth noting, Martin Zero a.k.a Martin Hannett of Factory Records, known for being instrumental in creating Joy Division's sound, produced this record, and plays 'electric percussion' on it.
